This is cool! The future of collaborative communication, enterprise, B2B, B2C, or whatever, simply; Peer to peer networking put to good use!
This is such a simple principle and is, scarily, available now, using technology that some very clever people have taken time to implement!
Undoubtably this is something that 'lesser qualified', CTOs, technical directors and heads of IT will catch on to, a year or two from now, and scream "why didn't I know about this last year?"
You never get sacked for... bla bla bla ... mainframes, AS400 etc etc...
Watch the video, digest, understand and wait for more!

I'm using this all over the place on my site!
This is a really good example of how effortless it can be to make your website more 'feature rich'.
Only ten years ago the web was nothing more than words links and a few grainy pictures, companies like snap are taking the next, next step!!With something as simple as a URL you can provide a thumbnail to a plethora of information. I feel like giving up and finding myself a real vocation!

Technology: apple iPhone

It's just so pretty, isn't it?
Apple is dipping it's toes into the mobile telephone market and the iPhone should reach the UK in time for Christmas. Will it be a Christmas Turkey or a Christmas pudding? I'm not sure.
I don't quite see where this is positioned just yet as it doesn't seem to be as great a phone as it could be, it's maybe not quite the best iPod (mp3) player you could get and, by the looks of things, it's a way off being the best PDA...
It just looks so bloody nice! I'm not sure it will look so great after eating a packet of cheesy Wotsits and then showing your mate the picture you took of your self pulverised last Friday ... I STILL WANT ONE ... anyone from Apple reading this ... PLEASE!!!!!

OK I finally gave in and joined facebook.
Initially it's addictive but the applications are really going to have to develop fast, I think, to keep the interest in the more 'mature' facebook user. As a video / photo sharing tool it's pretty useable and the obvious comments and messaging stuff works as it should. There's nothing that jumps out initally from a technical perspective - but after reading about the facebook platform and how they intend to allow 'facebook developers' to develop applications, I'm liking the ideas that they have! There doesn't appear to be anything that's a revelation here though, from a technology or ground breaking application perspective. Friends reunited meets MySpace I think (please don't shoot me for my opinions!). Someone's going to make lots of money though, it's obviously been marketed well and has an asstounding user base.
It's running on PHP though ... hmmm! I'm not sure it won't be tomorrow's MySpace pretty quickly! Social networking is a fickle fickle business!
